Enter 2020: travel is flipped on its head, quite literally presenting us with the gift that keeps on giving – the magnificent chance to dive deep into this unexplored island we are lucky to live on.
As our doors began to open and the opportunity to take to the roads presented itself, we have been able to explore the luckiest land in the universe. With concepts like #buyfromthebush and #gowithemptyeskies already circulating, Australians are backing each other more than ever before. And now, with the changes to the travel landscape, we have welcomed a new viral hashtag: #holidayathome.

You see, the thing is, many moons ago Australia opened its doors to the world and with that came rich cultures and traditions from a great variety of countries. These little gems have been gradually scattered throughout Australia, making us the homeland of all nations. Australia has so much on offer that within a matter of hours you can go to any corner of the earth. We can now take to the roads and be sipping a frappe waaaay better than anything ever consumed in Mykonos, dive into remote waterfalls with more clarity than the Iguazu Falls, or don your active wear and cycle through wine country with reds richer than Bordeaux.
To celebrate this great Southern Land and all that is on offer, Roam Travels has been on a mission to support local travel and showcase Australia.
