About Claire Tregoning

Claire’s diverse and celebrated 20-year career in the industry has taken her across the globe. From graduating in Fashion & Textile Design in Sydney in 2003, Claire went on to design at Topshop in London, and launch her own ready-to-wear label Maise, before moving to Sass & Bide in Sydney where she and her P.E co-founder and friend, Pip Edwards, first met.

At P.E Nation, Pip and Claire work hand in hand across the business. Their combined talent and vision have seen the brand grow from start-up in 2016 to wide global admiration and demand, with immediate industry recognition – taking home prestigious accolades including Best Emerging Designer at the Australian Fashion Laureate Awards in 2017, and the National Designer Award at VAMFF in 2018.

Claire holds particular focus in design and textiles, driving the brand’s product journey from athleisure-centred beginning, to successful category expansion into swim, ski, knitwear and basics lines, as well as limited and elevated capsules that offer true luxury appeal.

From the outset, the brand’s sustainability migration has also been a priority for Claire, switching to recycled and organic fabrications, collaborating with eco-focused charities and initiatives, and improving business practices across the board under P.E’s Our Conscious Nation program.
