All orders to the US are shipped using our Delivered Duties Paid (DDP) service, meaning that standard import taxes and duties have been paid for at checkout.
US Customs may ask for your IRS, EIN or SSN number before authorising delivery to your address for any high value orders. You will usually have one week to provide this information to our delivery provider DHL before your order is returned back to P.E Nation for a refund.
How duties, taxes and other customs fees are treated is dependent on what country you are shipping to. Currently, we send to United States, United Kingdom, New Zealand and Europe on a Delivered Duties Paid (DDP) basis meaning duties have been paid for at checkout.
For countries not mentioned, international duties and import taxes (import fees) are determined by your local customs authority, which may change without notice, and may include:
1. Sales Tax applied by your country for purchases from Australia; and
2. Duties charged for processing by your country.
To comply with Australian export regulations, we are required to declare the exact value of all items ordered and to mark them as dutiable “merchandise”. We are prohibited by law from marking the order as a “gift”, even if order is placed with the intention of sending to a gift recipient.
Any import fees paid at checkout are non-refundable if the order is returned, rejected by customs, or prohibited by local laws. This also applies to any changes in import regulations, customs clearance issues, or fluctuations in exchange rates are beyond our control.
